 The Faculty of Arts of Palacky University in Olomouc and the Department of Applied Economics would like to invite you to the 12th anniversary of the international scientific conference Knowledge for Market Use 2016 subheaded Our Interconnected and Divided World that shall be held in Olomouc September 8 – 9, 2016.

The conference takes place under the auspices of Prof. PhDr. Jiří Lach, Ph.D., M.A., Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and it is intended for the members of academic staff, university students and other experts as well as businesspeople. The issue of Our Interconnected and Divided World has been chosen with regard to all the current processes in our world. Some of them interconnect us, whereas others result in sharp discussions or even conflicts. We would like to invite experts from various disciplines to discuss the opportunities and advantages of this development and how to strengthen them, as well as to debate its possible threats and ways how to deal with them.

The conference program is divided into the following sections:

    Knowledge management, general management and marketing
    Public economy, taxes and finance
    Business
    Young economists – a section for all students of economics
Conference proceedings will be published electronically with an ISBN and sent to Web of Science to be evaluated.
Conference languages are English and Czech (see Programme), contributions to the conference proceedings are accepted in English only.
