We know from student feedback that areas most in need of improvement across UCL are Assessment and Feedback and Academic Support. 

Come and share your innovative and exciting practice across the education domain and highlight what can be done better. 

The UCL annual Teaching and Learning conference is being relaunched as the UCL Education Conference, to reflect a more holistic approach to the student experience.

Abstracts are invited from researchers, educators, professional services staff, and students for this one-day conference.  We welcome contributions relating to any aspect of Research-based Education at UCL but are particularly interested in successful examples of assessment, feedback and student support.  

We are inviting either 15 minute presentations or ‘micro’ presentations of just two minutes and a single slide. There will not be poster presentations.

Specific sub-themes could include, but are not limited to:

Innovative assessment and feedback practices
Curriculum for wellbeing
Supporting students via the personal tutor role
Engaging students in research and with researchers at all levels of the curriculum
Students as partners in curriculum change
Connecting education with local communities, the wider world and employability
Using new technologies and delivery modes to create more flexible and accessible curricula
Building bridges between disciplines 
Diversity and inclusion in the curriculum
Subject-discipline researchers’ contribution to education
Connections between academic and other roles in the university.
